Welcome on the Aikido Club du Baou web site
The Aikido Club du Baou
Open in September 2011, the Aikido Club du Baou tries to diversify it's approach of Aikido.
The teaching is based on the transmission of Saotome Sensei, Shihan, one of the last Uchi Deshi of the Aikido Founder, Morihei Ueshiba.
Fully respecting mainstream French Aikido, we focus on the martial aspect, weapon's work, fluidity of aikido and the philosophical and psychological part of our art.
We also try to open ourself to other discipline as Iaido, Kendo, Self defense, Systema...
During July 2018, the Aikido Club du Baou joined Saotome Sensei's organization, Aikido School of Ueshiba (ASU), formalizing the transmission of his instruction. Some students have tested thru ASU for their Aïkikai ranks.
The club is also affiliated to the French Federation FFAAA and has therefore, the duty to respect both way of practicing, close but distinct.
The Aikido Club du Baou has organized from 2014 to 2019, the International Aikido Seminar in Nice with Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan.
